Land, Property and Construction professionals often instruct land surveyors based on sketch plans and generic or ad hoc specifications. In many cases the surveyor provides the specification and benefits from minimal administrative cost. As for the client, well, everyone enjoys a fast quotation process.

This approach leaves open the possibility that the specification is more tailored to the capabilities of the surveyor than the needs of the client. The survey area can also be difficult to interpret, often lacking real world features to use for reference. This makes it much more difficult for the surveyor on the ground to ensure adequate coverage is achieved.

Projects and their requirements are unique. Geospatial surveyors usually specialise in one aspect on a project - spatial data. But many different specialisms will use the data. For example, at a multi-disciplinary design firm. The survey should cater to the needs of the end users – needs which are best determined by the end users or their survey/technical coordinator.

So, who bears the cost of the site revisit to rectify missing or inadequate data? Well that depends. Either way, both parties must deal with costly delays and wasted resources.

We think we've solved these problems and made loads of improvements across the board, bringing the process up to date with modern times. We're on hand to discuss and organise surveys on the telephone or by email or if you're ready to get going, our online platform is ready for you 24 hours a day.
